Meet  the  Team

In February 2023, Brian became just the fourth executive director since Breakaway was founded in 1989. He & Emilie have been in full-time ministry together since they were married in 2007. They first served in student ministry where Brian grew up in The Woodlands, Texas -- then planted Reach Church on Seattle's Eastside in the summer of 2012, which they helped lead for over a decade until moving to Aggieland to join the Breakaway family.

Emilie is a podcaster, speaker and student, currently finishing her MA at Western Seminary in Portland. Brian also attended Western, completed his doctoral studies at Duke Divinity School, and still dreams of joining the Aggie basketball team if the NCAA will grant him one more year of eligibility. On Tuesday nights you will see all five McCormack kids worshiping and serving alongside their parents, and they wouldn't want it any other way.
